Summaron vs Canon 35mm f2.8 ltm

The weather was fine today and so, i decided to try one of the Leica lenses that probably interest me alot...Summaron 35mm f2.8.

This lens is definitely one of the more affordable Leica lens and yet delivers high performance. Works pretty well with black and white negative.

Well, since i had a Canon 35mm f2.8, i thought, i try both lenses today.

The film used is Kentmere 100, pushed at 200, and developed with R09.

Clearly in the below 2 shots, we can tell which is Shot using summaron. The high contrast, nice tones and sharpness in the Summaron seems to shout out to you its name!

Well i guess given the price, its justifiable!

The Canon isnt lacking in terms of sharpness...

Will post more pictures from both lenses...look out for my next post.
