Time for some Colors!

Well after so many B&W films, its quite nice to view the streets with colors! Nonetheless, supporting the previous blog entry, i guess im more attracted to TLR!
I am totally amazed with the results of this expired film, Fuji 160 NPC, this is my first 220 format film used on my Yashica Mat 124G.

Results are amazing to consider this film was an expired one...

Leica or not?

Ever since my trip to Malacca, i have been so tempted to get myself a Leica.
I even surfed Ebay non stop checking for good buys and was so closed to winning a bid.

It took me some time to cool off the temptations and after some serious thoughts, I guess im still not ready for Leica. If i get a M2, i would need some chrome lens to match it. Black ultron and cv lens just don look good with the camera..and seriously, im quite affliated to my R2A. Thou the lens are cheaper, did not received as many "wow" compared to all the summicrons and summilux, i guess i still love them much!

Yea...so right now, my R2A is safe in my cabinet, and guess it will be with me for a long long time! If i cant be a Leica fan, then i'll be a Voigtlander die heart fan...haha

To Push or not to push?

Just when i couldnt decide whether to push or not to push de film...i decided to just retain its own iso.

My first ever B&W film

I always find it expensive and a chore to shoot B&W films. Especially when i am not the one who develops it.

Only finally on my trip to Malacca that i decided to give it a try. Doing all the push etc on it. Thanks to Mikhail who passed me 2 rolls for my first test shoot!

Shoot mostly with Ultron 35mm f1.7 and some shots with the 75mm f2.5

Didnt really control the exposure well when pushing, ended up some of which loses a fair bit of details..but overall, its a success! Do you agree?

I'm addicted to films!

I was suppose to go ruby to get my developing stuff today. But ended up i couldnt resist to get some B&W films for storage. I might have mistaken about the 20% price hike after April and thought that its the end of film supply!

This was what i ended up with!

I didnt realise i bought alot of them till i pay at the counter.

At least i didnt forget my main motive there was to get the cheap fixer and the dark changing bag. Oh and i didnt manage to get enough cannister to roll the negative. So guess got to wait for a while...but with so many films to shoot, i guess i can wait.

N when i decided to keep them in the fridge, i realise.......

I am so going to love shooting films!

Malacca in Color

The last set of color photos off my R2A. I only managed to shoot a roll of colorplus on this trip. The balance are all taken in B&W.

I had a chance to walk through the streets of Malacca alone before i bumped into the rest at a junction.
Everything seems to be nostalgic here.

This lens has a huge distortion issue but i cannot disagree that the contrast of the lens are really good. No issues with flare and somehow it gives abit of dynamic feel..
Definitely a good lens for landscape.
